Some dozen individuals consult about institutional and individual collecting of Bahá'í materials

On the weekend of July 27-28, 2019, an invited group of about a dozen individuals gathered in person and via teleconference.

The purpose of the conversation was to encourage the collection and preservation of published, unpublished, and archival materials. It also encouraged individuals to collect materials or preserve their own records for the future and to donate to private, academic, or Baha’i institutions at the appropriate time when those institutions are able to house, preserve and provide access.

Some attendees represented library institutions; some represented personal collections which the owners hope one day to donate to institutions that will preserve them.

Notes of the gathering's consultations are available here.
